In the first game, Lara seeks a powerful artifact-the Scion-that seems to be the key to finding the mythical island of Atlantis. At her disposal is an arsenal of weapons from twin pistols, through all kinds of machine guns and assault rifles, all the way to grenade launchers and bazookas. Lara is not all looks, though, so she’s ready for the dangers that await. The tombs are filled with deadly traps, bizarre monsters, and clever puzzles. When Lara ventures into ancient tombs in search for legendary treasures and forgotten knowledge, she must keep in mind that those responsible for safeguarding those artifacts didn’t leave them unguarded. Lara Croft, tomb raider, occupies an interesting niche between Indiana Jones and Bayonetta: she’s a relic hunter who can kick butt and take names with the best of them. How could a game about that possibly be fun? Well, Lara Croft is anything but an ordinary archaeologist and her life is anything but boring. You might think that this job is mostly digging holes and dusting old bones. Lara learns of the existence of a fifth meteorite artefact, the Hand of Rathmore and travels to Scotland and France in search of it.Tomb Raider is a game that needs no introduction but if, for some reason, you are not familiar with the series, then these games are about the adventures of the beautiful, intelligent, and athletic British archaeologist Lara Croft. " The Lost Artefact" or in American English "The Lost Artifact" is a collection of add-on levels for Tomb Raider III that was published in March 2000. Antarctica has a variety of men, dogs and mutated creatures, like the giant dragonflies and mutated humans.įor those who have tackled the game and found 59 out of 60 secrets the bonus level All Hallows awaits. London is dominated by crows, rats, guardsmen, the Damned, dogs, crocodiles and frogmen. The South Pacific region presents you with an indigenous tribe that shoots poisonous darts at Lara, crocodiles, dinosaurs like velociraptors, compsognathus and a T-Rex, and poisonous lizards. Nevada is dominated by vultures, rattlesnakes, Military Policemen and their dogs, and prisoners that stay friendly, as long as you leave them be. There is also a wide variety of enemies to be found: Baboons that will start off friendly, cobras, piranhas, tigers and Shiva statues that come to life in India. The quad bike will be utilised in India and in Nevada, the South Pacific introduces the kayak, in London Lara will find an underwater propulsion unit and Antarctica offers an inflatable boat and a mine cart. Lara will use a number of vehicles during these trips. The adventure is then concluded in the icy region near the South Pole. Lara will hunt these down around the globe: the Element 115 in Area 51, Nevada, the Ora Dagger in the Temple of Puna, in the South Pacific, and the Eye of Isis in London, England. After obtaining it, Lara learns of the existence of three more artefacts that have all been crafted from pieces of a meteor that hit earth some time ago in what is now known as Antarctica and that where scattered across the world by sailors on the H.M.S. The game itself begins in the jungle of India where Lara is hunting for the fabled Infada Stone. You can also find the Racetrack Key to practise operating the quad bike in the garden. Crawling and monkey climb open up new areas that would have been unreachable.
Combined with the dive roll Lara can use sprinting to quickly get through closing doors. Those three open up a lot of new possibilities.
